Everything CEO does
The full list: 69 features in 10 areas. All of them are included in the one plan, and all of them work on Mac, Windows and Linux.

Employees
Each employee is an AI agent with a role, a model of its own, and limits you set.
Hire in a minute
Give each employee a name, job title, department, persona and avatar (an emoji, a ready-made photo or your own image), and choose who they report to.
A model per employee
Pick the provider and the model for each one: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, OpenRouter, Ollama on your own computer, Ollama Cloud, or any custom model ID.
Newest models automatically
Model lists come live from each provider. When a new model is released, it appears in the pickers and becomes the default for its family, without an app update.
Start without API keys
Use your Claude or ChatGPT plan through your own Claude Code or Codex, or run Ollama with no login at all. API keys work for every provider too, and Settings shows a green checkmark when a key works or a red cross when it is rejected.
Three-tier model routing
The main model rates each task as easy, medium or complex and sends the simpler work to cheaper models. The tiers can sit on different providers.
Backup model
A second model, ideally on another provider, takes over when the main one fails. Later tasks go back to the main model.
Budgets
Set a monthly limit in USD per employee. Spend is calculated from real token usage, and an employee is paused automatically when the budget runs out.
Permissions
By default, file access is limited to the employee's own workspace folder. Terminal access is off by default and switched on per employee. Computer access, below, can widen both.
Computer access
Off by default. Switch it on in Settings and choose what employees may do beyond their workspace: open and control any app or browser (scripts, clicks, typing), read and screenshot web pages, run commands in a sandbox or with a full shell anywhere on your computer, and find, read and write files anywhere. Ask me first makes them wait for your approval before using apps, commands or files.
Pause, resume, terminate
Control one employee or pause and resume the whole team at once. No paused employee works or spends tokens.

Chat and tasks
Give work by talking to an employee or by assigning a task. Assigned tasks start on their own.
Chat with any employee
One ongoing conversation per employee. Each reply shows the tools the employee used, step by step, and what the reply cost. Text you haven't sent yet is kept until you send it.
Task board
Five statuses from backlog to done, four priorities, and two views: a list and a Kanban board where you drag cards between columns. Task numbers such as CEO-10 open their task wherever they appear, in chats too.
Work starts on assignment
Assigning a task starts the employee right away. If they are busy, the task waits in their queue and starts when they are free.
Subtasks and delegation
Employees split large tasks into subtasks and hand them to teammates, who also start automatically. The parent task shows progress.
Blocked with a question
When an employee needs a decision from you, they mark the task blocked, ask their question, and stop spending tokens until you answer.
Recurring tasks
Repeat a task every few hours from a chosen start, every day, on chosen weekdays, or every month on a date, on the last day, or on a day such as the last Friday. Add an end date to stop it.
Recurring calendar
See every scheduled run in an Up next list and a month or week calendar. Drag a run to another day or hour, or skip a single run and restore it later.
Files in and out
Attach input files to a task and they are placed in the employee's workspace before work starts. Files the employee produces open from the task in one click.
Deliverables
Every file your employees produced, in one tab, with previews of documents, tables, images and PDFs. Export a document as PDF or Word.
History on every task
Each task records who created, assigned, moved, edited or commented on it, and when.
Stop a run
A Stop button in the chat and on the task cancels work in progress, for example when a model is stuck in a loop.

Review and approvals
You decide what counts as done and what an employee may do without asking.
Inbox
One screen for everything waiting on you: questions from blocked employees, finished work to approve or send back, and unread replies.
Reviewer step
Finished work can first go to another employee — the manager or a reviewer you choose — who approves it or sends it back with feedback. After a set number of rounds (two by default) it comes to you.
Ask-me-first approvals
An employee pauses before running a terminal command or using a connector tool and waits until you approve or deny the exact action. Deny, Allow once and Always allow appear right in the chat and in the Inbox.
Company-wide instructions
Standing orders for the whole team, such as tone, working style and spending rules. Every current and future employee follows them on every turn.
Dashboard
Headcount, who is active now, spend this month, open tasks and the share of work that passes review, for the whole company or one project. A model ranking shows which models finished the most tasks and what they cost.
Live office
The Dashboard shows every employee at a desk: who is working, on which task, and what they are doing right now. Collapse it to a row of avatars for a large team.
Activity log
A record of everything every employee did: messages, tool runs, skills learned, task changes and budget events.

Michael, your Chief of Staff
Every new company starts with one employee already hired. His job is to build the team and keep work moving.
Builds your team
Describe the company in a short brief and Michael proposes a team to match. He can show you the proposal first and hire only after you approve.
Daily briefing
Every morning Michael sums up what got done, what is waiting for you, what it cost and what is planned for today. It arrives in the Inbox, in his chat and, if you like, on your phone through Telegram. Choose the style: a list written from the task board, which costs nothing, a natural letter written by AI, or both.
Company templates
Six ready-made IT companies with roles and reporting lines: SaaS startup, software house, mobile app studio, IT services, AI and data startup, and DevOps and cloud consultancy.
Finds work for free employees
An employee with nothing to do gets their own waiting tasks first, then a suitable unassigned task from the backlog.
Checks finished tasks
When a task is marked done, Michael checks that what the task asked for is actually there. If something is missing, the task goes back to its owner.
Returns answered questions
A blocked task that receives an answer goes back to its owner, so work resumes without you moving it.
Employees can run the app
Employees can do what you can do in the app, such as hiring or creating projects. Deleting things, granting terminal access and raising budgets wait for your approval. API keys, sign-ins and the license stay out of their reach.

Skills and memory
Employees keep what they learn and use it on later tasks.
Learning loop
After real work, an employee reviews what they did and saves a reusable procedure as a skill. Skills are added to every later prompt and revised as they improve.
Starter skills
A new hire gets a few skills generated from their job title and persona, so they are useful from the first task.
Skill library
See every skill in the company by employee, with how often it was used and how many times it was revised. Edit a skill's name, when to use it and its steps, or delete it, from the employee's Skills tab.
Import and export
Export skills to a file and import them into another employee or another company. Import skills from almost anywhere: SKILL.md folders, .zip bundles, Markdown, GitHub links or web pages. What isn't already a skill is converted by one of your AI models.
Long-term memory
Employees store facts worth keeping and remember them across conversations.
Dependable with small models
When a small or local model writes a tool call as plain text, or only promises to act, CEO catches it and makes the action happen.
06 / 10
Teamwork
Employees work with each other as well as with you.
Employee-to-employee messages
An employee can ask a teammate a question and get the answer straight back.
@mentions
Write @Name in a chat or a task comment to bring that employee in. @Boss, @CEO or @You notifies you.
Comments restart work
When someone comments on a task, the assignee's agent decides whether it needs action. If it does, the task moves back to in progress.
Org chart
A chart of who reports to whom as one tree: you at the top, Michael below you, and every manager above their team. Click an employee to open their chat.
07 / 10
Projects
Group tasks under a goal and keep the project's record in one place.
Goals and progress
Each project has a goal, its own task prefix such as WEB-12, and a progress bar of done against total tasks.
Pause a project
One switch stops all work on a project's tasks, so nothing is spent while it is paused. Resuming restarts the work in progress.
Project files
Every file from all of a project's tasks in one list: what you attached and what employees produced.
Living project document
Employees keep a project document up to date with the overview, technology, architecture and key decisions with their reasons. You can edit it by hand or export it as Markdown.

Connectors
Connect outside tools to your employees, and your AI apps to CEO, through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Connect by URL
Paste a server address (https:// optional, the name is taken from it), click Connect and sign in in your browser. The server's tools are then available to your employees. Under Advanced you can limit the sign-in to the OAuth scopes you choose.
One-click connectors
Pick from 30 popular services, including Notion, Linear, Atlassian, Stripe and Zapier. One click adds the connector and opens the sign-in in your browser.
Local servers
A connector can also be a program that runs on your own computer.
Approval per connector
Choose when employees must ask first: always, only before actions that change something, or never.
Choose who can use it
Limit a connector to specific employees and switch off individual tools you don't want used.
Use CEO from your AI app
Connect Claude Code, Codex or Claude Desktop to CEO as one of your employees. It sees that employee's tasks and works on them with CEO's tools, on the plan you already use there.

Away from your desk
Employees keep working when you are not watching, and you can reach them from your phone.
Telegram remote control
Pair your own private bot, then chat with employees, check status and the inbox, and approve, reject or reassign tasks from your phone.
Phone notifications
With the Telegram bot paired, every notification also reaches your Telegram chat: replies, finished tasks, reviews and blocked questions.
Desktop notifications
System notifications when an employee replies, finishes a task, needs a review or is blocked.
Keeps your computer awake
The computer stays awake while employees are working and sleeps normally when they are idle, so overnight runs finish.
Rate-limit recovery
If a provider runs out of quota mid-task, the employee retries automatically an hour later, when the usage window resets.

The app
A desktop app that keeps your data on your own computer.
Multiple companies
Run several companies, each with its own employees, tasks, projects and budgets. Switch between them or open each in its own window.
Search
Search across tasks, comments, chats, projects, skills and people. An exact task key such as COM-10 always comes first.
Guided tour
A new installation starts with a tour that explains each part of the app. Replay it any time from Settings → Help.
Demo company
Explore Northwind Labs, a ready-made company with a team, finished work, files, chats and costs, before you connect any AI model. Nothing runs or costs anything in the demo.
16 languages
Use the app in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch, Swedish, Czech, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified) or Korean. Choose in Settings → Appearance.
Local data
Your conversations, tasks and skills are stored in files on your computer. There is no CEO account and no CEO server.
One-click updates
When a new version is out, click Update now: the app downloads it, checks its signature, installs it and restarts.
Light and dark themes
Choose light or dark, or follow your system setting.
Mac, Windows and Linux
One app for all three: Apple Silicon Macs (signed and notarized by Apple), Windows 10/11 and Linux (.deb and .rpm), with Windows and Linux in beta.
